Here in Haiti
July 23rd, 2010 · My Blog
I have been here in Haiti for two weeks!!
My team and I have spent the majority of our time in churches (and some schools) distributing water filters (primarily to woman) and training them how to use and clean them. It has been such an honor to be able to talk to, touch and actually see those who’s lives are being changed through the simple gift of a water filter. It’s wonderful to be able to be apart of bringing hope to others.
This week, we have been spending time in the warehouse helping them organize and restock. Tomorrow, through the end of the week, our team will be working in several orphanages, distributing water filters, and loving on children who don’t have mommies and daddies. That’s my favorite.
Thank you all who are supporting me back home. Your prayers, support, and your encouragement bless me more than you’ll ever know!
Until He returns,
Chelsea

Hope and Haiti
January 19th, 2010 · My Blog

I have had Haiti on my heart for quite awhile. Since the horrific, life shattering earthquake(s), my love and desire for Haiti and its inhabitants has deepened and my desire to go has been intensified.
I am excited to announce I will be joining Convoy of Hope in Haiti this Summer!
I will be spending sometime in June/July partnering with Convoy in whatever capacity is needed to help restore the homes and lives of those left in the aftermath of the quake.
I am unsure of what Haiti’s restoration will look like. But I am grateful and honored to be a part!
(I will bring more details, as I learn them…)
With much excitement,
Chelsea

In the beginning…
January 18th, 2010 · My Blog
This past June, I was given the opportunity to preview the heartbeat of Convoy by traveling with them to El Salvador. During the week we spent time playing with children, praying, participating in food distributions, building essentials bags (bags of food to feed a family of four) in their warehouse, and offering the Hope of Jesus. I found myself not wanting to do anything else.
I will begin my training in June ’10. Until then, I will be remaining at home, working, raising funds, and preparing for what God has in store for me next.
I am hoping this website will serve as a place for me to share with you the process, and adventures God is leading me through, so, please come back often!
With great anticipation,
Chelsea
